What happened
Google DeepMind published Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash on November 5, 2026 and marked it generally available on the Gemini API and Google Cloud. Native generation and multi-turn editing now reach 15 seconds, up from 10 seconds on Omni 1.1, with duration selectable in one-second steps from 3 to 15. DeepMind says the price dropped 30% from Omni 1.1 to $0.07 per second for 720p. The post also claims stronger reference adherence, multi-turn conversational edits, improved speech, and SynthID watermarking. A same-day Google Workspace post says Google Vids can generate up to three 15-second videos per month at no cost for anyone with a Google account or Workspace subscription.
Why it matters
Teams budgeting product video need a named length and a named rate. Fifteen seconds and $0.07/sec for 720p are usable figures; the Vids free tier is a separate door with a monthly cap.
Drafting at 360p or 720p then upscaling to 1080p or 4K is DeepMind’s cost path, not a separate list rate on the page.
Provisioned Throughput is available on Google Cloud per the post.
Outputs carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark on DeepMind’s account.
